"HOPE is a source of JOY
And JOY is a source of STRENGTH"
Our Church has been here for many centuries, bringing changes to people's
lives in different ways. This has happened through worship, prayer and support, and by the dedication and commitment from people of all ages, past and present.
Through the work of our church, including contact with the community and
schools, we continue to develop and build relationships in the hope that many future generations will also experience changes in their lives.
Families, children and young people can play an important part in the life of any church, and are encouraged to do so at St Peter's.
Hope means to keep living In the midst of a gale at sea
amid desperation it is to discern land
And to keep humming In the eyes of another
in the darkness it is to see that He understands you
Hoping is knowing that As long as there is hope
there is love there will also be prayer
It is trust in tomorrow And GOD will be holding you It is falling asleep in His hands
And waking again
when the sun rises Henry J M Nouwen
"A vision without a task is a dream
A task without a vision is drudgery
A vision and a task is the hope of the world".
From a church in Sussex c.1730
Fundraising is an essential "task" in the Church's life, enabling its "vision" and work to continue, and ensuring that the Church is there for all those in need.
The Church offers a choice of regular services, as well as holding Baptism, Wedding, Funeral and special services. Our work in the community supports and provides for a wide range of people's needs.
" offering a warm welcome at regular and special services
" helping people prepare for Baptism, Wedding and Funeral services
" providing activities and events for people to attend
" working with children and young people
" comforting the sick and bereaved
" caring and sharing in the joys and sorrows

To do this, St Peter's relies on the regular giving of time and money and is very grateful for past generosity. Support is needed not only from the regular congregation, but also from people in the community who may not attend Church regularly, but may wish to use their Parish Church on special occasions. We are always grateful to receive donations.
If you are a tax payer, the Inland Revenue will add a Tax refund of 28% to your donation to the Church. There are also valuable Tax benefits for 'Higher Rate' taxpayers.
This benefit applies to both regular giving and occasional donations.
If you feel able to leave a legacy in your Will for the work of our Church, this would be much appreciated.
The 200 Club is an excellent means of raising money, bringing a little fun into fundraising, and gives members the opportunity to win monthly prizes!
This is an opportunity to help preserve this historic building and the work of the Church here in Mansfield.
